Methodology in Martial Arts Education in the AIKI-CHUN System
Since founding the AIKI-CHUN system, the primary goal has been to establish a clear and organized educational methodology for practitioners, enabling them to understand their objectives, how to achieve them, and how to use the tools and techniques practically and systematically. As the founder of this system, I drew inspiration from the Japanese experience, which excels in setting scientific foundations in various fields, including martial arts.
What is Methodology?
Methodology is the scientific and practical plan used to teach and train individuals in an organized and systematic way. It includes setting goals, means, techniques, and evaluation and follow-up plans to ensure these goals are achieved efficiently and effectively. In AIKI-CHUN, the methodology relies on studying body mechanics and kinetic physics to achieve the greatest impact with the least effort.
Learning from the Japanese
The Japanese are among the best in establishing organized scientific foundations in martial arts. For example, Aikido encompasses a comprehensive study of all forms of entries, attacks, and exit possibilities. However, traditional Aikido training lacks the handling of hand and foot strikes, which I aimed to develop in the AIKI-CHUN system.
Developing the AIKI-CHUN System
I integrated Aikido techniques with other martial arts such as Wing Chun, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Russian Systema to create a comprehensive system. This integration is taught in an organized methodology that includes clear stages and defined training levels, allowing practitioners to learn all combat aspects gradually and systematically.
Martial Arts and Their Methodologies
Many martial arts lack a structured methodology in education, often due to their limited techniques. For instance, boxing has only 7 punches and limited strategies. Despite this, structured training can help practitioners develop faster than usual, which is rare. Most arts with fewer techniques lack a clear methodology to guide practitioners towards their goals without confusion or loss of motivation.
In conclusion, the AIKI-CHUN system is based on a well-structured educational methodology that enables practitioners to achieve their goals effectively through the scientific and systematic study and analysis of every movement and technique.
